Surface high pressure centered over the Southeast CONUS is resulting 
in generally light (5-12 kt) southerly winds, along with scattered 
showers and thunderstorms. An upper level ridge building into the 
area will bring a decrease in shower activity, with rain chances 
near zero from Wednesday onward.

.Synopsis For High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 NM
including Galveston and Matagorda Bays.
 
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue this
afternoon. Non thunderstorm winds should be light. But locally
higher wind gusts over 30 knots will be possible in the vicinity
of thunderstorms. Otherwise, a drier and hotter pattern takes 
hold Tuesday and beyond. Onshore flow and seas are expected to 
increase somewhat during the second half of the week.
